Quality
At De Witte, quality is not a promise, but a way of working. Each project is prepared to perfection, manufactured in-house and meticulously installed by experienced craftsmen. Thanks to our in-depth technical knowledge, durable materials and attention to detail, we deliver façade solutions that perform for years.
Innovation
At De Witte, we are proud of our roots as a family business since 1908. That solid foundation gives us confidence to keep innovating. We combine continuity with an open mind towards innovation. Our employees actively contribute ideas and take responsibility, so that together we can build sustainable facades and strong relationships. With craftsmanship and conviction, we work on projects we want to be proud of tomorrow.
Sustainable
Sustainability is in everything we do at De Witte. We invest in green energy with 5,000 m² of solar panels on our roofs. And with aluminium, we choose a light, strong and low-maintenance material that is fully recyclable and will last a lifetime.
A family business with more than a century of craftsmanship
Een familiebedrijf met meer dan een eeuw vakmanschap
Founded in 1908
De Witte was founded in 1908 in Wetteren by Urbain De Witte. What began as a seasonal trade in sand and coal soon grew into an established name in the construction industry.
Urbain De Witte
The second gneneration
After the untimely death of founder Urbain, his son Gomar De Witte joined the company at the age of 14. Despite difficult circumstances and the impact of two world wars, they managed to continue building ‘De Witte Gebroeders’.

"The construction centre in Flanders"
In 1959, son-in-law Arthur Vandaele joined the family business. Together with his wife, Christianne De Witte, he expanded the range to include facade materials and chimney tiles and other specialities. De Witte grew to become ‘The building centre in Flanders’ and invested in a new site on the E40 in Wetteren. In addition to the existing building materials branch, he set up a separate department for aluminium joinery.
New stage of growth
This diversification marked a new growth phase and laid the foundations for the later specialisation in facade construction. Soon, the site on the E40 again became too small and a new production site with offices was built on Zuidlaan in Wetteren.

Fourth generation
In 2004, the fourth generation, led by Philip Vandaele, introduced further professionalization, resulting in the establishment of De Witte Aluminiumconstructies as a separate company, independent from the building materials division. In 2017, De Witte moved to a new site in Laarne, tripling its production space. Today, the company has a team of approximately 50 employees and focuses primarily on B2B projects within the professional construction sector, with a clear emphasis on quality, sustainability, and collaboration within construction team partnerships.
In the future, De Witte aims to further develop in façade construction by offering its expertise in partnership with the affiliated company De Bruycke.
